Abstract

This 3D model composition was created as a part of the AIU Divine Creation competition 2025, by Hajar Al Othainah, from School of engineering and computing. The artwork is entitled "The Heart of Life" and won memorable mention.

Description

“The Heart of Life,” for the إبداع الخالق competition. This piece depicts a ribcage covered in moss, with a heart resting at the bottom, I crafted this piece using clay, shredded foam and wires shaping each detail to reflect the complexity of life. This piece is a reflection on how human beings are not self-sufficient, our existence is limited, yet we continue to live, breathe, and grow because of God’s perfect design. It is a reminder that despite our limitations, life still flourishes under His rule . "The Heart of Life" reflects the complexity and fragility of human existence. The ribcage, covered in moss, symbolizes our imperfections and limitations—how we are incapable of true perfection compared to God’s flawless creation. Despite our flaws, we are God’s greatest and most complex creation, and even in imperfection, life blooms through His will. Over time, nature reclaims all things, reminding us of our vulnerability to his presence.
