Crossover happens at random, as scientist claim, it is process that swaps DNA of personal genes, building up a new person with the mixed traits as if genes were puzzle pieces. The word God chose in this ayah fits perfectly for this process. Rakkabak translates to "has he assembled you" or "has he built you up", it is the only time God has said assembled rather than created, and it came about our form/image describing how our phenotype was carefully handpicked in our DNA by God's great will. Perhaps for the longest time people have thought that assembled here meant attached our limbs to our bodies, but thanks to the modern technology, we are now able to appreciate Divine Creation for the microscopic point of view. Components: 1. Writing-Ayah 8, Surat Al-Infitar in Arabic kufi font. 2. Edges-Represents parental DNA that meet to crossover. 3. 8 closed loops for each parental DNA-Represents the Ayah number 8. 4. 82 base pairs( dashes inside DNA)-Represents the Surah number 82 5. Mirror-The reflection of the image God has assembled from DNA crossing over. This artwork is created as a part of the AIU Divine Creation competition 2025, by Jumana T A J A Al Shatti, who is majoring in Biotechnology.
