Well, the white veil also covering her hair shows her great purity and spiritual devotion, while the background glowing with golden light enveloping the scene in warmth. The painting has an inscription, “The heavens declare the glory of God and the skies proclaim the works of His hands.” This reinforces the spiritual significance of the painting and takes the Baroque era’s emphasis. Light and shadow interplay showing the scene’s intensity, that draws the viewer to a moment of reflection. All the elements of the composition like figure, symbolism and colors create a powerful narrative of the image that reflects the brilliance of the Baroque period.This artwork was created as part of the AIU Divine Creation competition 2025 by Modey Sara Behbehani, who is majoring in Interior Design.
