Assumption of the Virgin is a 1637 oil on canvas painting. Now it is in the museum of ‘Fine Arts of Lyon’, which got it in 1805. The tools I used are a tracing board, pencil, marker, and colored pencils. I chose to put Mary under and the two angels above on the edges. Sadly, I have some difficulties with the part that needs shading. I colored the background blue, in the edges are darker from the middle to look like a frame for the phrase from the Bible, but it didn’t look as good as I thought. Therefore, I changed it to another idea. I used white paper and put some coffee on cotton and tapped it on the paper, and let it dry for two days. Then, I cut out Mary and the two angels and glued them to the new paper. This painting was created as part of the AIU Divine Creation competition 2025, by Bader W M Y M Alqaisi, who is majoring in Interior Design.
