I love flowers—looking at them, smelling them, and holding them. I also love drawing and painting the things I enjoy. I saw this painting on Pinterest and fell in love with it, so I got inspired to recreate it with my own touch. Last year, I took an art history course where I learned a lot about oil paintings, which inspired me to try oil paint. Since then, I had been waiting for the right time to try it. Using oil paint for the first time was both hard and easy. It was hard because I had to work with different types of oils and learn how to work from dark to light colors and from thin to thick consistency. It was easy because it wasn't difficult to fix the painting, and mixing the colors was very easy since they didn't dry fast. This mixed media composition was created as a part of the AIU Divine Creation competition 2025, by Zahraa Hjamed Alostath, from School of engineering and computing.
