Abstract
This artwork was created as a part of the AIU Divine Creation competition 2025, by Yusra Al Mayyal, who is majoring in the School of Architecture and Design. The artwork is entitled "Winter Mountain".
Description
How great is the Creator in all things! He is the One who deserves our contemplation of His creation. In this image, there is a magnificent divine
scene that I marvel at, its details, the beauty of the view, the serenity of nature, and the majesty of God, who created everything perfectly. In this image, I seek to embody the majesty of divine creation through this artistic depiction of the beauty of nature.
From this image and this natural scene that combines the beauty of nature with its towering mountains, the magic of green forests, the purity and shine of the snow, and the clarity and purity of the atmosphere, this scene represents, for me, a manifestation of the Creator's ability to create diversity and harmony in nature.
This image features a balanced composition that combines various natural elements. The towering mountain still retains its trees and greenery, despite the harsh weather this winter. This gives the image a sense of power and majesty. The foreground, left, and right are lined with these trees and the snow, adding a touch of life and freshness to the scene. The falling snow is scattered throughout the painting, giving it a sense of calm and serenity.
In addition, there is a variety of cool colors that reflect the atmosphere of winter. Blue soars from above with the light of the sky, white covers the entire space, while green adds a touch of warmth.
This painting carries many symbols that reflect the concept of divine creation. The mountains symbolize strength and stability, the forests symbolize life and growth, and the snow symbolizes purity and clarity. The presence of these elements together symbolizes balance and harmony in the universe.
I see in this painting an embodiment of the greatness of divine creation and an expression of my admiration for the beauty and diversity of nature. I believe that art is a means of expressing faith and spirituality. Therefore, I believe that beauty is in all things created by God, and contemplating God's creation is an act of worship and increases one's knowledge and understanding.
