The universe and everything that revolves around it were created by Allah with wisdom and purpose, and that reflects the power of Allah. In the Qur'an, it was described that the earth and the heavens were joined before they got separated. "Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?" (Qur'an 21:30). Nowadays, science has discovered the origin of the universe and the Big Bang theory. The Qur'an said this over 1,400 years ago. I took this photo in summer 2023 when I went with my family to the South of France, specifically Annecy. It is related to the divine creation theme because it captures the beauty of Allah's creations. It beautifully shows the peaceful sky, the marvellous mountains with the houses, and the serene water. First, Allah created the sky without any pillars, which reminds us of the greatness of Allah. The wispy and scattered cloud gives a movement to the scene. Also, it contrasts with the mountains. Second, in the Qur'an, the mountains are described as stakes or pegs that make the earth stable. "Have We not made the earth as a resting place? And the mountains as stakes?" (Surah An-Naba 78:6-7). The mountains have a strong presence and withstand overtime which symbolises Allah's greatness and eternal power. Lastly, the water is symbolised as a purification and mercy in Islam. in this photo, the lake is reflecting the mountain and the sky, which shows the beautiful divine creation. In the end, this photo feels balanced as the mountains are the center of the photo, which makes it visually pleasing. Also, the blue in the sky and on the reflected water with the green of the mountain made the scene calming.
