dc.description The process that resulted in my painting began by intensely researching into Baroque art and thorough analysis of the Quran verse’s meaning to effectively convey its message. The inspiration behind the painting is the Fall of the Giants. The main idea is God’s throne and earth was taken into consideration but transformed to respect Islam. Three types of color tools were used, which are Pigma Micron, color pencils and acrylics. There were many difficulties in creating this piece mostly with painting the clouds because there are two sides, the dark side and the light side by acrylic colors which was not easy to finish cleanly. Moreover, the Quran verse was colored by black micron pen and to add depth to that, specially that God’s words has a lot of depth, colored pencils were used.
This painting was created as a part of the AIU Divine Creation competition 2025, by Maryam Al Mutairi, who is majoring in the School of Architecture and Design. The artwork is entitled "Eternal Passage".
